Talking about Icewind dale enhanced edition.. I`d thought I`d do a review of Icewind dale, or just go through all the improvements of the game here on my blog.

I love this game and Im sure there are alot of you out there who are loving this game and are curious on what the improvements or changes are in the enhanced version of this game.. I am curious myself! So let`s go through the changes together!
All in one package
According to Pcgamingwiki.com : “Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition is an enhanced release of the 2000 fantasy role-playing game Icewind Dale and its expansion packs Heart of Winter and Trials of the Luremaster. “. So the enhanced edition will include the expansions, “Heart of winter” and “Trials of the luremaster”.
Which is to me pretty cool, cause I remember from the early days, the Trials of the luremaster addon wasn`t so easy to install as the heart of winter one..
Here you can actually just install it and all of the expansions will be installed with it, pretty cool!
More from Pcgamingwiki.com it says: “The changes include a high-resolution support up to and including 4K Ultra HD, cross-platform multiplayer, 6 formerly cut quests, new items, playable half-orc race, class and kit combinations ported from Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition, a “story mode” difficulty level, toggleable quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes”
So it has improved graphics with support up to and including 4K! If you have a 4K screen that must look amazing to play!
They even added the half orc race to play, which I remember from the old days, only Icewind dale 2 had the half orc race to play as if I dont remember wrong.. Please correct me in the comments if I am wrong, but I do remember that the half orc race was kind of off limits in some of the infinity engine games.
Android support
It also supports : Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS, Android – Which is pretty cool considering the smartphones we have now a days, playing it on ur phone wasn`t really an option back in the day. I played the entire game on a smart phone, which was pretty neat to be able to do… It is also available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, & Xbox One.
My take on icewind dale – Enhanced Edition
Playing Icewind dale enhanced edition was a pleasure on my part.. It brought back all the nostalgic feelings of when I played it the first time in 2000. Revisiting Kuldahar with slightly better graphics and talking with Arundel again was a much welcomed experience. The game is quite extensive so I didnt actually notice the new quests or new dialogue that was added to the game.. But it is possible now to leave a party member and talk to him where you left him to add him back to your party. Just as in baldurs gate. I didnt know if that was possible before the enhanced edition, but I thought it was pretty cool to do.
Caravan supplies
Replaying it had me discover a few things I didn`t discover when I played it when I was younger, like when you kill all the orcs and ogre in the cave in the beginning of the game.. – SPOILER – I can actually talk to a fishmonger or fish dealer who is in a house right next to Hrothgars house, and get experience for telling him about the lost caravans. Usually the game moves on when you tell it to Hrothgar and you never get that extra experience from the fish tradesman who is the master of trade in Easthaven. – End of SPOILER –.
Anyway with new bug fixes and new content updated to this game, it will surely be a recommendation from me… To try it out. See for yourself what you think… It has always been a favourite game of mine and an enhanced version is only going to make it better… which it luckily was!
